Different companies offer tours on the River Cam by punt. You can find punt stations at Quayside and the Mill Pond by the Graduate Hotel.
Great St Mary’s, the University Church, has been at the heart of Cambridge for at least 800 years and has played a significant part in the history of the City and University of Cambridge. Climb the tower to see the panoramic views of Cambridge and the colleges (please be aware that the steps up the tower are quite steep).

Cambridge University Botanic Garden is a 40 acre, Grade II listed heritage garden in the center of Cambridge. It is the most visited university botanic garden in the UK, welcoming over 275,000 visitors annually. The Garden supports University teaching and research while also being a place of enjoyment and inspiration to visitors. It maintains the University’s collection of over 8,000 plant species from all around the world, including one of the region’s finest collections of trees, all set across beautifully designed and landscaped gardens and glasshouses.

The Round Church was built around 1130 and is one of only four medieval round churches still in use in England. Since 1950 the church has been designated a Grade I listed building and is currently managed by Christian Heritage. Fans of architecture and history will find something of interest, whether in the church, or the building itself. Inside there’s an exhibition ‘The Cambridge Story’ and a video that will give you an induction to the city and its key buildings.
